Ok, this site is very limited in functions and is very much trying to push their targets. The made up fake profiles they have are not very creative. Though interesting to see they have real users who ie like pink so they make pink font on pink background. Kids are smarter then this, the only complex thing about it was the signup page where everyone give up their demographics.
I really don't see this going that far, with walmarts budget I am sure lots of people will signup in the end.

Lost Thu, Jul 20. 2006
J.J. Abrams created Lost, the show reminds me a Zeda, or any other game
where you explore foreign areas encounter monsters and open mysterious doors which require finding a special key. Ie hatch and dynamite from washed up sail ship. With Lost well on its way and Alias finished, Will he make his next production "mission impossible" as good as Lost and Alias ?
Websites for the show.
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/ - galley, video clips and other general info, nothing really special. Really does the site need to be something more then the cookie cutter ? In this case nothing could compare to the show and would only confuse the issue.

http://www.colbertnation.com - Stephen Colbert Wed, Jul 19. 2006
http://www.colbertnation.com , as with Stephen's show I was greeted with what I expected, a low budget web site. Stephen could get away with a little more effort put into his site, something like dan cooks site would not be that great for Stephen. On the show Stephen appears to dislike it when people make their own poor jokes which may rule out online video submissions like youtube.
Now after reviewing the site for a 2nd time I came to find many missing pages and his site in a complete mess. Making colbertnation a complete mess. On the 404 page I received a popup ad which I found most annoying...
It would be nice to have some of the simple stuff, like listing of the districts featured on their show with a bit of bio info. Other then that not sure what would really go well with the show. Having his routines in text does not seam like a good idea to me due to the visual part of the humor. Short videos seam to be ideal, maybe extra videos that did not make the cut could be put online and the good stuff for the show.

Most comedians use a similar format, Dane Cook has done well in producing a quality site. With the internet short clips have become popular which makes it ideal for him to invest in a good site. I find the format of audio clips playing when you goto the site works well for him, expect it does get long in the tooth after a while. Chatting with fans online builds the fan base as well.

I first heard of rocketboom when Amanda Congdon went splits vill with her partner Andrew Baron. Looks like they are making as much racket about it as possible. Reading on http://amandaunboomed.blogspot.com/2006/07/for-record.html#c115215511071447319 Zennie Abraham suggests Amanda's popularity basicaly freaked out Andrew causing him to try and keep the all mighty position he had. Personaly I am not a big fan of 51 % / 49 % splits as the person who has the 51 always seams to be someone who wants to be a dictator rather then working things out.
On to the review, the online show is a series of short clips which has gained an impressive audience which is the size of a small cable show. They may not be making it big expect it does look like one of the many online shows that are popping up. ie the Star Trek copy.
Their content is like the much popular "The Daily Show with John Steward" for example http://www.rocketboom.com/vlog/archives/2006/06/rb_06_jun_23.html does a pretty good job at explaining the net neturality bill so it makes sense.
Even if this show might fail, it will be interesting to see what both Andrew and Amanda move on to.
The partnership had started from a carglists post, I have used this method before by recruiting people who want to do something fun. It does not always work out or make money but it can be fun.
